With Fall’s crisp weather and beautiful foliage, it’s a great time to enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer! We’ve compiled a list of our favorite activities this season to enjoy with friends and family.
Pumpkin Patch
This is a given! Do a quick google search of pumpkin patches nearby and spend half a day there. Most pumpkin patches will include children’s games, hayrides, corn mazes, and more. Pick out the cutest pumpkin in the batch and bring it home to paint or carve! Since this is a long activity, we recommend packing your Life’s Grape snack packs, they’re the perfect size while you’re on the go!

No Carve Pumpkin
Carving pumpkins can sometimes be challenging, but that doesn’t mean you can’t decorate them. We recommend painting them either freehanded or with stencils and stamps. You can also create string art to outline letters, words, or images. All you’ll need for string is some embroidery floss or thread, finishing nails, and a hammer. See image below!

Fall Nature Walk
This is the best time to see all the leaves changing colors! Bring the little ones in your family out as a sensory experience having them explore, see/learn the colors, and hear those leaves crunch under their feet. You can also turn this into a fall scavenger hunt to collect leaves, pinecones, acorns, etc. It’s also a great time to take some Fall photos, so take advantage!

Create Pumpkin Yarn Garlands
This at-home activity is fun for all ages and simple to do. It’ll keep everyone in the family busy and you’ll end up with some festive décor to display! You only need four supplies: orange yarn, green pipe cleaners, twine, and scissors. Link to directions in the photo credit below.

Apple Orchards
Similar to pumpkin patches, visiting an apple orchard and going apple picking is a great activity for the entire family. This excursion to the orchard can also take up either a whole or half-day, depending on how much fun you’re having trying out apple cider and picking all the apples!

Go Camping
This time of year is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the weather and your surroundings. Whether you do a quick trip outside of town or simply set up a tent in your yard, it’s a great time to gather by a warm fire, tell some spooky tales, and star gaze.

Make Kettle Corn
Kettle corn makes snacking so much more fun, especially when you get to make the recipe yourself and decide what goes in it. We’ve found some recipes that have a fall twist like pumpkin spice, apple cobbler, and Vermont maple. We highly recommend starting with a hot batch of popcorn on the stove top, it adds a lot more flavor, crunch, and fun. Don’t forget to toss in some Life’s Grape Classic Vine Dried Grapes or Chocolate Dipped Vine Dried Grapes!
